Korea Fuel Tech America investing $4 million in Auburn operation

AUBURN, Ala.- Korea Fuel Tech America, Inc. is expanding its manufacturing operation in Auburn. The company plans to invest an additional $4 million in its facility in Auburn Technology Park South, creating 17 new jobs.
Korea Fuel Tech America first came to Auburn in 2022. The company produces eco-friendly fuel parts including carbon canisters for gasoline and hybrid automotive fuel systems that help reduce air emissions.
“Congratulations to Korea Fuel Tech America’s local leadership for expanding after just three years here in Auburn” Auburn Mayor Ron Anders said. “Every expansion of an existing company is a testament to the great conditions companies find in Auburn — it’s a win for both our community and our residents.”
Korea Fuel Tech is headquartered in Anseong, South Korea, and manufactures carbon canisters, plastic filler necks and other automotive parts for several automotive OEM’s including Hyundai, Kia, GM, Volkswagen and Porsche. The company’s Auburn operation includes injection molding and assembly manufacturing processes.
